This warm ballad with soft acoustic guitar melody works as the soundtrack for the South Korean TV series 그 해 우리는 (Our Beloved Summer). It’s a romantic comedy that tells the story of an ex-couple that broke up on a bad note, forced to come together after years when a documentary they shot in high school goes viral. The main role is played by one of the closest friends of V, Choi Woo Shik (최우식).
The song could be heard for the first time on December 6, 2021, with the airing of the first episode on SBS TV.
It also marks V’s third OST release for Korean drama, after 2020’s “Sweet Night” from Itaewon Class, and 2016’s “죽어도 너야 (It’s Definitely You)” from Hwarang.

This indie pop song was created having in mind V’s fans, to help them heal when they listen to it. V was actively involved in the creation of the song, also when it came to choosing the right instruments to match the specific sound he had in mind.
During the interview with Rolling Stones, V mentioned that the song started out from him feeling that he “really wanted a good night’s sleep.”
Originally, it was supposed to land on V’s mixtape, but he decided to release it as a part of OST to Itaewon Class. It happened thanks to his long friendship with Park Seo Joon—the leading actor in the series.

“Intro: Singularity” was released as the comeback trailer for BTS' Love Yourself 轉 ‘Tear' on May 6, 2018. Performed by V, the song is an R&B slow jam featuring languid bass and a hypnotizing melody. The lyrics focus on entering the dreamlike landscape of a lake during winter as a metaphor for the main protagonist lamenting a strained relationship (with himself or a third party).
The word “singularity” has multiple interpretations, the most commonly adopted of which are either the state of being unique or alone in the universe (singular), or, in mathematics, a point at which “a function takes an infinite value”, usually with strange outcomes that warp the laws of physics and reality.

I think this song is based on V s character in the HYYH ( BTS universe) where Taehyung’s father is abusive towards him and his sister after their mom died. one day he comes home to find his dad abusing his sister and ends up killing him trying to save her. The song talks about the burden he felt all the time he suffered from his father ,the feelings that he hid from everyone while he was being abused (maybe he tried to “play it cool” and not show his friends and sister the hardship he is in) and he feels sorry towards his sister,father and friends for different reasons. He now sees himself as a sinner and blames himself for his sister’s pain(because he was not strong enough to protect her only because he couldn’t stand up to his father ) and therefore he wants to erase his sins but he cant do that and now he just asks for forgiveness.
However, some people have stated that it could be something relating to sexuality. (Not in storyline, rather a personal story, considering he wrote the song lyrics himself.) But that is just a theory, because V of BTS has not spoken about it since the release of the song.

"Inner Child" is a song by V of BTS. It was released on February 21, 2020, and appears as the fourteenth track in their fourth studio album Map of the Soul: 7.
The song reminisces about the past and how things change, but also relays the message that even though V, or the whole group changes, they will continue to do their best for their fans and everyone who’s supported them.
In a press release held by Big Hit (BTS' label), various news sources reported that Big Hit said this song was V writing to and reflecting on his past struggles and younger self.

“Winter Bear” is an English-language ballad from BTS member V. Alongside a self-directed music video featuring footage from his travels, the prevailing theory is that it was released as a tribute to his late grandmother who passed in September 2016.
A bear, of course, hibernates in the winter, sleeping for many months peacefully. This represents his wishes for her to rest in peace, but it also subtly hints that he wishes for her to return one day.
Incidentally, the track marks 1000 days of the phrase “I purple you.“ The unofficial color of ARMY, he defines purple as representing trust and long-lasting love since it comes at the end of the rainbow.
